timmie,when you try to bleed the brakes does fluid come out or air, if air then i would say the eqalizer is bad, but first check to see if you are getting fluid to the cylinders there is a orfice and screen in the hose that supplies oil to the brakes it is not easy to find i will try to get you there. on the right side of the firewall in front of the battery there is a group of hoses and lines the hose that goes to the cylinder has the valve in it you should feel a bumb in the hose, to check it i suggest to cut the hose to get it out be sure to notice the way it comes out.
