It sounds like your battery is dying. Try another known good battery, maybe the one on your truck or something like that. Do you have any way to measure the amperage draw of the starter while you're testing it? If so, look for a sharp increase of the amp draw while it is running. It should start high and then level off and stay pretty much the same. If the amps go up, you need to fix the starter. Otherwise, I think you just need to buy a battery.
