Hi Ted, 186 hydro's hp is right at 100hp. They were made in the mid to late 70's and early 80's along with the 86 series. I have a Hydro 100, the 186's older brother, and I love it! Some will tell you to stay away from it because of the hydro. As the hydro's are not best for heavy tillage. But they are an awesome loader and baler tractor among other things, snowblowers especially. Be sure to change the hytran and filters. Matthew in SD
