That was good advice the last response had about pressure checking with the pan off but you realy should buy or borrow a pressure tester and not use shop air if you can help it. I've seen a cooling system go bang in a big way from someone walking away and the regulator leaking by. you will need a special adapter for your radiator. It looks like it has steps on it and it fits down in the hole where the radiator cap goes. Old tractors and trucks got oddball cap sizes and none of the pressure testers I have ever seen will fit without an adapter.. one hint I have is buy a head gasket from IH. I used a felpro on my super c. I have done hundreds of head gaskets in my day and that was the only one i have ever had leak on me. sticking with OEM you usualy won't go wrong. clean and oil the threads on the studs and nuts real well. and if you pulled out the intake manifold studs for any reason then put teflon tape or plumbers paste on the threads before you put them back in. some of them go into the water jacket and will leak if you dont.
