Could be about anything, but it sounds like a fuel flow problem. A couple of simple things I'd look at first. HAve you got good gas. If you've got a lot of moisture in it, it'll settle out even in the carb and it'll take some time to get real gas into your motor. How's you manifold. A big enough hole or crack in the manifold will allow too much air and too weak a vacuum at the carb, even if you choke it. Same if the manifold isn't bolted tightly with good gaskets. How's the oil in the cup on your air filter. If it's sludged up you may not be getting enough air at cranking speeds, but once it's running the vacuum is enough to overcome the gunk. Maybe not the answers, but a place to start. Good luck! Scotty
