'40 H Carb Adjustment

I have a 1940 H, it blows a little smoke. I wondered if I could adjust the carb a little and get rid of the smoke, thniking it may be running a little too rich. However, of course I have messed it up, of course. It will start and run, although it sound like it is just running on 2 or 3 cylinders. I have not messed with anything but the carb. Please help. Thank you
