Wow...5 turns? Had a buddy who was a tractor mechanic (many years ago) who told me 2 - 2 1/4 turns. Maybe his memory's slipping. I'll sure try that one first, as it's the easiest. It started doing this a few months ago, and got drastically worse this spring. Didn't run it much since Dec., when new clutch/pressure plate were installed (another story in itself). One last question: It seems the high speed needle is awfully loose, with no spring to help hold it's position. That may be the issue - it just worked it's way out of adjustment - possible?? Thanks all, and I'll listen to any other suggestions. I'll also be sure to let you know what I figure out.
