Scott, The shaft comes out with one of the bearings. It takes a bit of effort but you'll be pulling the bearing out of its socket. It also helps to loosen the pto gear, remove the large pipe plug inside the clutch housing to get at the bolt that holds that large pto drive gear on.Doubtful that the shaft is rusted on, its a spline shaft with a fair bit of play in the splines. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner but I was working all weekend. Interesting that your clutch was rusted out, same as mine, you'll need a new pressure plate assembly, forget about salvaging any of it you never get the pins out of the little arms! I tried and failed. Best of luck. I wonder why those clutches rust out like that, I painted the heck out of everything in there when I reassembled.
