Thanks, but here's the confusing part,there is no coil, just the magneto, and the way the generator and voltage regulator is wired is different than the page 45 wiring diagram someone (Bob, I think) posted. The two posts on the generator-one goes to the bottom of the voltage regulator-one goes to one of the three side posts of the voltage regulator. The other two (of three) side posts of the voltage regulator-the middle one goes to the amp guage box and the third is not connected to anything. The loose wire from the amp guage box I have not tested yet with an amp meter to see what it is doing.
