I put a engine driven tach off a 300/350 on My Super H in 1968. Parts Man I bought the Distributor drive gear housing from sold Me the used one He was saving for His H at home. The OEM tach's had hour meters in them for monitoring service intervals. Also, some jobs run better at specific speeds like spraying, nozzels put out so many gallon per minute at a specific pressure, You drive faster, at more RPM, the sprayer pump PSI may not go up, but the speed You travel will and You won't put enough on. Also spreading fertilizer requires a specific speed.
