Engine model number on a M???

I posted a message about getting the number off the distributor for an electronic ignitor for thedistributor. The number that is stamped on the distributor JD4 659398 makes no sense to the people at Pertronix. I do see they have listing for tractors with various different codes, like C-157, C-200 and D-239. Does anyone know what code a 1946 Farmall M would be, or what distributor it has or location of the numbers on it? I took the distributor out of the tractor and wire brushed it, the only numbers I seen were at the base of it, them JD4 659398 numbers. Any help in determining what distributor ot what model number would be appreciated thanks, Danny
