Dad uses a 1086 and 886 and hays only. The 1086 does nothing but pull the disc swather (12 footer) and the 886 bales in the summer and loader duty in the winter. The 10 sips fuel on the swather and will run nearly all week on a full tank (86 gallons) so it is economical and the disc cutter can pull a little in heavy wet hay, however that 10 does not even know it is back there. The 886 will smoke a little pulling the swather so it was put on the baler. He could get by with a lot less hp but enjoys this so more power to him, he deserves it I guess. He will be 70 this February.
