I have a Coop E3 that was found sitting in a pasture for over 30 years. Hard to belive, but the engine was set up. I did manage to get one piston out. The rest would not move, so after several days of thought, I came up with a sleeve pusher. I took two pieces of 1 1/2" square tubing, drilled a 3/4" hole in the end of both pieces for 3/4" threaded rod, on one piece I welded a 1 1/2" by 3" piece of rectangular tube which would fit over the connecting rod, and push directly on the sleeve. length by TLAB {that looks about right} Put one 1 1/2 square tube on top of the engine, with 1/2" spacers so the sleeve could come up. Put the other tube on the bottom with the rec. tube over the connecting rod, and tightened the nuts on the threaded rod. PRESTO, sleeves came right out I SHOULD SAY , ON THE BUDA ENGINE, the sleeves stuck down past the casting about 1/2". and the rectangular tube was just big enough to push only the sleeve. I wish I knew how to put a drawing on the tool discussion board but I'm not that smart.
