I think I can enlighten you as to why someone would use the high starting bid. To start with they don't really want to sell tractor, don't have to sell tractor, but they are getting a bit bored with now that they have put hours and hours of time into the tractor. Maybe they see another tractor different style, tastes have changed a bit. I fit that description, I have two tractors, mechanically as good as new. There is nothing more to do. I have my eye open for a specific tractor which I don't really have room for. No one though is going to buy these tractors for less than I have invested. If I put them to public auction with no reserve they wouldn't bring 25% of that figure.
