I've read through most of the messages about smoking diesels and the lack of compression. Although I haven't checked my compression the symptoms certainly point to that being the problem. The question I have is how do I get the compression up? The blow-by is not bad so I'm not sure that the rings are the culprit. What else could it be? I have read things about injectors and aftermarket pistons, but I believe everything in my machine is original. Any help would be appreciated.
