I have acquired a Cub Lo-Boy with a problem that I do not know how to fix. If the clutch is pushed in (disengaged) while starting, the battery will not turn the engine over! If the clutch is left out (engaged and out of gear) the engine will turn over and start! After starting, there is the sound of knocking! Which may come from the engine or clutch housing, I can not tell which. Could the clutch be wharped or the transmission spline shaft be bent or worn? How do I go about determining what repairs are needed? Thanks, Denver
