I do not really think that you would be bettering yourself on fuel efficiency with the 560 over the 400. I have a 450 gas, and yes it likes its gasoline. Probably 3 to 4 gal and hour when it's working hard. A friend of mine has a 460 gas, and he says it uses 4 gal an hour at least on a pull. The 560 is the same engine with more cubes. I asked a fellow who has been selling IH's for years what I should buy between a 450 and a 560. He said 450 for sure. The reasons: More torque on the 4 cyl engine for lugging power, simpler hydraulics and cheaper to work on. I would stick with the 400 or for mowing has get a 300 or 350 (better economy with live power and better hydraulics than an H) Just my opinion.
