I was going to say ice in the rearend, but since you say the wheels turn that probably isn't it. However, pull the front drain plug on the tranny and see if oil comes out. To get a little bit of a peek inside without removing the whole tranny cover, remove the belt pulley drive (or cover if you don't have a pulley).
