Howdy all, I recently had a student who is overhauling a Farmall M bought a new set of sleeves and pistons. The new pistons have a piston pin diameter of 1.312". His old rods are 1". I was wondering if there was any way of using his old 1" pin diameter connecting rods by putting a smaller bushing in it. I've called Case IH and they said there used to be an adapter bushing kit for them, but, they couldn't find a number for the kit or tell me exactly what it included. So, I would like for you all to tell me what is available for us to do short of buying 4 new connecting rods. Anyway, we would be willing to trade some good older connecting rods and 4" pistons for some correct connecting rods. Oh yeah, by the way, his new pistons are 4" and his old pistons are 4" and not 3 and 7/8". Thanks for your help in advance, Jared Jeffries Jasper FFA Advisor
