I usually ask my wife's Grandfather the same question. Mainly because he is 87 and has alzhimers, cant remember where he is but he can sure remember the Farmalls. He says that back in 27' the regular was the best. Then he goes on to talk about how it had ball bearing mains(good point) and how guys would grease the exposed steering gears to get them to stop squeaking but south Texas sand would find it way to the grease and chew them up. Then he says that the 20 was about the best tractor IH made after that cause he could re-ring the pistons by pulling the oil pan and dropping them out the bottom. Then he talks about the M and how it could pull a 4 row plow in the black Texas dirt no problem. As for the allround best Who knows?? As for me, I know nothing, I just started yesterday.
