I'm surely no expert, but I have kinda kept my eye on MTA's for the last 15 years or so because our neighbor had one when I was a kid. Even though our big tractor at the time was a 560 and our second tractor was an M, that MTA would turn my head every time I seen it. I now have 2 of them and keep my eyes peeled on everyone that comes up for sale in a circle of 150 miles. The cheapest one I've seen sell in the last few years brought $1600.00. It had no extras (wf,ps, fenders,weights....ect) and didnt have a piece of tin that I thought was salvageable. Seems that a good average MTA will sell from about $2250.00 on up, and come to think of it, it's been quite awhile since I seen a decent one go for that price. My feeling is that if you really want that particular tractor, be prepared to give in the $2200.00 to $2500.00 neighborhood. You can always sell the wide front if you want to lower your total cost>. GOOD LUCK

Like most features of our life, few things are all good or all bad, and most such judgments depend on our own perspective or viewpoint. In our particular hobby, we enjoy the nostalgic return to the days of our youth as we recreate many of the scenes that took place on the family farm that served as the stage for the first few acts of the play that is our live ...
