Any make and model tractor with 20+ hpin it will do just fine if it is a good tractor to start with. Since your in the IHC room ill say any tractor from the Regular on up will do to pull a bailer. As far as a bailer goes. If you know the bailer will bale and tie the knots on both sides, over and over, than it is probably a good bailer regardless of make and model. BUT, if you buy a tractor without live PTO, then, you should look for a bailer with a working engine on it. This is not a necessity, but it sure makes bailing so much easier than using a tractor without live PTo and a pto bailer. Ibail with a 1937 F-30 and a 1960 140 W Case engine bailer, and I wouldnt treade it for a new pto bailer because, when i come up to a big wad of hay, I can ease the bailer into it slowly, but the bailer is going full bore. I can easly bale 2 to 3 windrows of pararie hay here in Okla with it and have never bailed single windrow. The book itself says, if you are going to bale with the Case 140W bailer, then bale heavy, ir put it to it. Hope this helps
