About 25 years ago I had to replace the manifold and exhaust pipe on my Super M after an unfortunate incident that ended with the tractor upside down in a ditch. The IH mechanic recommended a big pipe wrench, a 4 foot cheater and to tighten the crap out of it. I'm not sure what that equals in torque foot pounds but it never came loose.
