One thing that could be over looked is the gasoline, Make sure that your gas is fresh. Use fresh low octane gasoline for it is more potent and works well in the 300 (asuming its a farmall 300). If you have the carb. hooked up right, and have good flow of gas going to the carb., and it's adjusted right, then your problem would be like the others have said, it's got a gas flow restriction in the main jet area of the carb..
