Used a Super C with a New Holland S67 bailer for 26 seasons 1961 thru 1985. Pulled a wagon behind it (no thrower just a bale chute). The ground was gently rolling, nothing really steep. It's about all it can handle, worked the tractor pretty hard. The trick to no live pto is get the pto running before you get any hay in the chamber and don't stop before the chamber is empty. There is another trick that's really not recommended but if you hit a tough spot you can slip the tractor out of gear without using the clutch.
