I have a Super A implements parts catalog. It shows four mowers, the A-21, the A-22, the AI 23 highway mower and the A-24. The 21 and 24 are rear mount. The A-22 is a farm mower and the AI 23 is the highway mower. The 23 has a power lift on the sickle bar so that the touch control can pick the bar up. It has a short pitman and when the bar is picked up the hinge point is the center of the pitman flywheel. You can mow vertical with it. I owned one of the A 23 mowers years ago and used it to mow some. It's very heavy and difficult to take on and off the tractor. Designed to stay on there. the A-22 belly mower is much lighter and the hinge point for the bar is at the end of the sickle and you could mow only a limit angle above or below horizontal. Hope this helpa
