A good place to seek answers to questions such as this is the parts catalog. Engines with serial number 245700 and below use bolt 251 405 R1. Engines with serial number 245701 and above use bolt 387 901 R1. If your replacement engine began life in a tractor, the engine serial will begin FCUBM-. Incidentially, my opinion is that the higher serial number engine is the better one- has several improvements over the very first ones. Buy the parts catalog.
