I guess a 434 is similar to a 424. On the 424 there is a valve to control the lowering rate of the 3 point hitch. If the valve were turned all the way off, the hitch would go up but not come down. It's been a long time since I had the 424, but as I recall, the connection for remotes is tied into the 3 point system and that lowering valve would affect any remotes you had connected as well.
