Dick: That spring was probably the same on every 7' tractor mower ever produced by IH. Time to tell that IH parts man to get his lazy butt in gear. Tell him that when governments around the world stop subsidizing corperate farms he may be damn glad to find you parts for a 27V. The independance of some of these guys today, clearly an indication that over the years we as a society have been much to willing to part with our money, for new toys. I am not against new technology, just the public money it takes too make it feasable. Years ago we had a policy in my native province of Nova Scotia. Government would pay 75% of the hourly rate of buldozers over 100 hp, for clearing land out of the forest for agriculture. Many many acres were cleared that should have been left in spruce trees. I always argued this money should have applied to land in class 1,2 or 3 for agri. and should have been so much per acre, suposing you cleared the land with an OX. The policy was clearly designed to prop up a struggling Cat. dealer, nothing else.
