It doesn't run good at all at full throttle. So head was retorqued, tappets set hot. Pulled all plugs throttle wide open ran comp test. Starting with 1 by the radiator. #1-80psi.2-85,3-85,4-85. Pulled my color spark plug chart out that shows various plugs with differant probs. 1 and 4 were a perfect normal 2 and 4 had a little bit of carbon but dry and burning half a$$. Dry air filter element. Just with a 90 degree pipe no factory air cleaner parts on it. It's 12v(-) ground w/ electronic ign. I figure it must be a timing or dist. prob. I took the dis apart to look at the gov weights and springs. Going to get new springs and the gov weight guard as it has severe wear on the two tabs that go downward in the inside circle of the guard plate. I noticed that #1 wire wasn't in the 1 on the cap. Still in correct firing order just doesn't start there. That would not matter would it? Have 12v to the dist. My guess is timing and dist.
