The Farmall 806 was built 63, 64, 65, 66, & 67. It was available in; gasoline, LPG, or diesel models. The gasoline and LPG engines were 3 13/16 x 4 25/64 301 cubic inch six cylinder. The diesel was 4 1/8 x 4 1/2 361 cubic inch six cylinder. Early diesel engines had a IHC injection pump. Later a Roosermaster pump was used. Most of the IHC pumps have been changed to Roosermaster over the years. The tractor actually contains three hydraulic pumps, steering, main, and pto. The standard main pump was 12 gpm with a 17 gpm optional. The tractr was available with; one, two, or three remote hydraulic valves. Outlets were available rear only or front and rear. A dual 540/1000 IPTO with 3 gpm pump was standard but could be deducted. The 806 was available with; standard drawbar with swinging drawbar, Cat II 3 point hitch, or 2 point Fast Hitch. A tricycle front end was standard with either a single front wheel or a wide front axle optional. Torque Amplifier was also optional as were fenders. A wide viarity of tire sizes were available. It was even available on steel but as far as I know all steel wheel 806's were sold export. The diesel was Nebraska test 857 with 86.66 db hp and 94.93 pto hp. The gasoline was Nebraska test 859 with 81.04 db hp and 93.27 pto hp. The LPG was Nebraska test 861 with 84.37 db hp and 93.42 pto hp. The Farmall 806 was the rowcrop version of the tractor. There was also the Farmall 806 High Clear version, the International 806 which was the standard or wheel tractor version of the tractor and the International 2806 which was the industrial tractor version of the tractor.

Last niht I dreamed about the day that I plowed the field of about 10 acres over on what Jimmy and Dandy called the Ledbetter field. I was driving the 1948 8N Ford tractor that Jimmy bought in 48 new This was prebably in about 1951 and maybe even befor the house was built. This would have made me to be about16 years old and I drove the tractor for nothing and would have paid to drive it if I had had any money which I didn't, but neit ... [Read Article]
