Easy, not trying to get in a fist fight here.... just saying there are two sides too most stories...sometimes more than one right answer...buddy that starts his car to drain all the oil is not wrong...Lots of us do the same ...but we pull off the coil wire and crank to purge the oil out of the pump...even starting your vehicle for a second or two with no oil isn't going to hurt it..lots of oil on the bearings and no load. And if your going to tow with either a strap or chain, anticipate that it will break and protect yourself accordinally, may save your life one day getting into the habit.
