Bill, I will give it a another try .If you change rod and piston,just use your rod bearing and shims if you don't want to tackle shimming the bearing.I have another question ,since your noise is constant when you pull wires.Could your governor be the culprit ? I had a F-20 that the governor weights were bad.I would advise taking a piece of rubber or plastic pipe and hold to your ear and move around over the motor when it's knocking and see if you can determine the site of knock.I have unhide my e-mail if you want to write me.Thanks Ralph ps I'm not too brillant at this time of night
