The belt pulley runs all the time,unless the clutch pedal is pushed in,no way to cut it on or off.The pto lever is a short lever near the left foot,as if you were sitting on it,about 12" long or so.My 14 has the small tank ob top of the hood,so when i shut my down for say an hour or so,I turn the spark advance to the left till it stops.When I shut it down for the day,I just simply shut off the gas,but I think the book says to shut it down via the spark advance lever.
