CDV; Having leaky carburetors is probably my biggest problem as a rebuilder. I will give you a few things to try. 1) Make sure you did not get any dirt past the inlet screen and into the valve & needle. This will not let needle seat to shut off gas completely. 2) Did you make sure the float had no leaks(shaking it would tell you if gas is getting in to the float causing it to "not float"). Also does the float move freely? Turn the carb. when it off the tractor(make sure it is drained first), if the float is free you should feel it or hear it moving as you twist it in your hands. If not it's probably rubbing the bowl & you will have to bend one of the pontoons to adjust. 3) If you still have problems you can bend the float down slightly & this will cause the fuel to be shutoff quicker. These three factors are the most common but there can be other things causing your leak. If after trying all of the above post back for other ideas or solutions. Good luck!
