hello all. this is my first post on the Farmall board. i'll be finishing up a '54 John Deere 40U soon, and i was looking for a pre-1940 handstart "unstyled" type of tractor to work on next. well some friends of mine have an uncle with a small farm across the road from my sister and her family. sitting in the woods there is a F-14, and Sunday i asked the owner if he wanted to sell it. i now have my next project!!!! :-) the JD 40 has a loader and several other implements and i bought it to do some work around my place. the F-14 i want to do an actual restoration on. i ordered all the manuals today and hopefully they'll be here in a couple of weeks. in the mean time, are there any trouble areas or tips anyone has for working on the F-14? i won't get to actually tear into it for a few months, so i'm just getting as much info together as i can. thanks for any replies. andy b.
