Like the others have said, he owns them, and it's his call what becomes of them. His plows certainly aren't the only ones around, and you will just need to forget about them if you don't want to give him his price. I'd say if those plows were in that poor of a shape, you would probably have more money invested in them by the time you fixed them up than if you just kept your eyes open for what you want at a cheaper price, and trust me, you will find a nice set of plows before too long somewheres. Why do you need more plows for anyway if you already have 4 sets?. I know your calling it greed, but thats the old mans 401K, and I'm guessing thats probably about all he has for income, and if he sells them cheap, once they're gone, they're gone. I know it's really aggrivating to see something you really want rotting away, but thats life, and it happens all the time, you just have to learn to live with it, and enjoy the stuff you got.
