The swinging drawbar on my 1945 H is on top of the u-shaped drawbar and has been that way for as long as anyone in my family can remember. No strap or roller is used to keep it in place. This has resulted in a slight downward bend to the sliding drawbar. I recently bought a roller from OEM that I plan on installing (instead of the strap). When I install the roller, I plan on putting the sliding drawbar below the u-shaped drawbar and flipping it over (if that's possible). Maybe 60 years on the bottom will straighten it out. I'll provide an update in 2064. -Barnaby
