I have a 2444 with 2050 loader. I paid 4,000 about 1 1/2 years ago, mine was in good running order with no functional problems, just a bit of rust and a couple of leaks. Nice little tractors, however the one you are mentioning sounds like it has been rode hard and put up wet and might cost a fair bit to fix. I would pay about 2,500-3,000 max for that tractor if I wanted to fix it. Governor and transmission hard parts are not cheap for these models and can be difficult to find as they were only made for about 5-6 years and are a British based design. The 2444 is an industrial version of the 444. Gas or diesel ? The gas engine is not a sleved design and must be re-bored for a rebuild. I know someone that had his gas 2444 rebuilt, cost nearly 4,000!
