LOOK, YOU HAVE RECEIVED SOME VERY GOOD HINTS/TIPS IN PAST. YOU SEEM TO BE CENTERED ON THE CARBURATOR. I'D BET YOU SCREWED SOMETHING ELSE UP ON THE OVERHAUL. YOU PREVIOUSLY SAID SOMEONE ELSE REBUILT THE CARBURATOR - THEY PROBABLY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. SET THE IDLE SCREW AND MAIN (POWER) SCREW OUT ABOUT 2 1/4 TURNS. THEN KEEP YOU FINGERS OFF THE CARBURATOR. RUN A COMPRESSION CHECK. I'LL BET THOSE VALVES ARE NOT CLOSING PROPERLY. TAPPETS? GO BACK THROUGH SOME OF THE PREVIOUS ANSWERS, GET OUT THE SHOP MANUAL, AND DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING. AS MUCH AS YOU HAVE SCREWED WITH THE CARBURATOR IT'S PROBABLY NOT YOU PROBLEM. DISTRIBUTOR: THE ROTOR SHOULD MOVE, ONE WAY, AGAINST THE SPRING (ADVANCE), ABOUT 30 TO 36 DEGREES. THE ROTOR SHOULD NOT MOVE IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. IF YOU WIGGLE THE ROTOR SIDE TO SIDE YOU MIGHT FIND A LITTLE MOVEMENT, WHICH AT THIS POINT I WOULD NOT GET TO EXCITED ABOUT.
