Disk Brakes on a Farmall H

The big return spring on the inside of the housing broke, and the IH dealer told me they don't make them anymore. I would have to find a parted out tractor. What I would like to know is, do you guys think I could TIG weld the spring I have and have a part that would hold up??? This is the cone shaped spring about 3 inches long. Part # 358718 R1 Thanks in advance Steve
