p--c--y1066: It is my understanding that the external part of axle is the same. Internally the axle is larger with larger and heavier bearings. I have never seen the parts book on this, but rather going on what I was told. Right here at YT discussions about 18 months ago. My tractor was one of the last built before black stripes. It did have the single piece drawbar, about 2x4 solid steel. You didn't mention diff lock, any experience? I have never seen one of these units apart. My understanding is they were not a mechanical gear lock like smaller tractors, but rather a wet clutch pack, similar to those in a IPTO.
