Wait a minute. What are you comparing this to? The 5088 series doors swung to the rear. The last ones had only a left-hand door due to OSHA. The 5088 series shifter is supposed to be on the right side, with the park lock on the range selector. If it has a range selector, it doesn't have an 18 speed powershift. What you saw is simply a late 5488, not the mythical 5588 prototype that became the Magnum.
