The 414, 436, and the 466 are the 400 series engines. They are pretty much identical, other than the crankshaft/stroke. 966's had the 414 from the factory, but installing a 436 or 466 is pretty much a bolt-in deal. If you've got 437 stamped on the block, it means you have a "B" series 436, which came along in '79. There is a rumor going around that the last few 966's had 436 engines from the factory, just like a 986, but that would have been in '76, they would not have been "B" series engines yet.
