Curt Happy Thanksgiving and thanks again for the help. I had a chance today to take the tractor out for a while and pull a couple things around the yard and here's what happened. When I started the tractor I expected, from what went on the other night, that when I pulled the rod that she would turn over as quick as it did after I shut her down the other night, She didn't. Turned over like a dead battery. This tractor has always been a good starter and after several very slows turns she did start. The charge needle then went all the way as far to the charge side as it could. Now seeing the needle that far on the charge side I tried the lights and it stayed on the plus side with the lights on. After letting her run for about ten minutes I noticed the needle jumped around quite a bit but never went on the negative side. From your post:
I do not have the Phillips screw type but I may have the other type you talked about. I will check this and let you know what happens. Go Lions !!!
