The 186 Hydro is the hydro version of a 986. The 186 has 104hp which is one horse less than the 986. It has a 436 non-turbo engine just like the 100 hydro. The 186 and 100 are very similiar except for the styling. The 1066 hydro had the 414 turbo engine. I think they changed to the 100 Hydro so people would quit comparing the gear drive 1066 with the Hydro 1066. I also think they went to the 436 non turbo in the 100 Hydro to limit how much horsepower some one could turn up the engine.
