terry: You have very good advice from FC and TDK, so no point in me repeating all of that. My only point is one should never leave any hydraulically raised equipment in the raised position. It will prematurely cause damage to system, plus it's a bit dangerous. I set my blade on two 6"x6" wooden blocks. Not for the reason you are suggesting as my shop is not connected to house. One just never knows when he may wish to tow the tractor out through the door. Our tractors are 50 years old by now.
