We had a 7-ft sickle bar that we used on an H, but the Super C should handle that. I have an old John Deere book that features all their tractors in the early 40's and their farm implements. They had a 7-ft sickle bar for their tractors and they also had a 7-ft horse drawn mower. We had only McCormick-Deering 5-ft horse drawn until they got the H. My brother broke the tongue out one of those mowers and my dad wasn't too happy and I said accidents happen. The horses were not injured and he was concerned about getting the mower back to the shed. We had a 10-20 then and I used it to tow the mower. A few days later I sawed the tongue off and made some brackets in my shop class and I installed them and used that 10-20 to tow the mower. I was all of 15 at the time. I had my dad on the mower and we went out and mowed about 5 acres of alfalfa. My dad was smiling when he saw what a tractor can do. We phased out the horses.
