Hey guys, I am workin on that M still and so far I"ve put a Behlen power steering unit and a Behlen distributor pump on the tractor, I got the pump from my grandpa"s farm and noticed it was painted green, didn"t really think to much of it, but anyways, after gettin it all on the tractor and hooked up it worked great for a day or so then developed a decent sized leak from the front of the pump unit. So I found new seals for the pump and put those in, thought I had the problem fixed and I put it all back together and it still leaks. I have two thoughts of why this is still leaking. My first is that the shafts of the pump are slightly wore that the seals aren"t quite tight enough, or I noticed that on the pump the pressure side of the pump is half inch, while the return side of the pump is 3/8, is this right, or should it be the other way around and my tractor is turning the pump the wrong way?? This pump may have been for a JD, would that make a difference? Sorry bout the long post but thought I needed to really explain so you guys might be able to help me out. Thanks alot. Chris Willy
