Recently read the article titled "Step by Step 12-Volt Conversion" for the Farmall M and Super M by Bob Melville. Went to a local Napa shop to inquire about the availability of the Delco 10SI alternator. Didn't have one exactly and was asked what amperage was needed since they had different 'sized' alternators. The smallest put out 37-42A, had a part number 213-4003. I couldn't imagine I'd need more output than that as my old '66 Chevy uses a 37A AC Delco. Can anyone tell me more specifically about amperage requirements and or a Delco 10SI part number, if possible? Thank you all in advance.
